The Dubai Health Authority announced Thursday it had launched a toll-free quit-smoking helpline.

Launched in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline, the 24-hour toll-free number 800-123-QUIT (7848) will guide smokers how to quit smoking.

Ahmed bin Kalban, chief executive officer of Primary Healthcare Sector at the DHA said: “The implementation of the quit smoking line … is part of the overall Tobacco-Free Dubai project.”
