Average Brit gets through £70 worth of air every year, claims scientist

A news study has found that an average Briton gets through 70 pounds worth of air every year.

Professor John Thornes, of Birmingham University, calculated the figures.

The calculation was based on the current price for carbon dioxide set by the EU emissions trading scheme.

“The atmosphere is the most precious and valuable of all natural resources, yet all too often we take it for granted,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.
